Rhodiola is endangered because virtually the entire industry uses wildcrafted Rhodiola from China. However, because Restorative Formulations is dedicated to ethical sourcing and sustainability, we choose to invest in rhodiola grown at certified organic farms in Alaska and Alberta, Canada. We only harvest after three years of growth to concentrate the active compounds such as salidroside and rosavin. This time allows plants to concentrate these compounds naturally, so solvents are not required to achieve high potency.
In the case of Holy Basil, there is no need to implement a heating process typically used for removing solvents; thereby, we are able to maintain higher levels of bioactive essential oils, such as eugenols. Adrenal Px Balance Capsules provide a similar benefit as Adrenal Px Balance Syrup, with the addition of Rhodiola and Holy Basil, and a difference in the dosage form. Adrenal Px L-BP contains a high dose of licorice extract, which can raise blood pressures and is contraindicated in hypertension. Adrenal Px Balance Capsules is meant for a stronger level of adrenal support, whereas Adaptogen is indicated for everyday general support.
