This formula can help stabilize thyroid peroxidase immunoglobulins which is essential for normal thyroid activity. The powerful antioxidant selenium helps neutralize free radicals that affect iodothryonine-5'-monodeiodinase enzyme activity, which is involved in the conversion of T4 to the active T3 hormone.
Rarely found in dietary supplements due to sourcing challenges, certified organic iris root has a history of traditional use to support thyroid function and natural liver detoxification processes.
The selenomethionine in ThyroCare is yeast-free, unlike other forms of selenium. It is incorporated into a number of selenoproteins required for T4 conversion.
